High School age players get the opportunity of playing in Central Nebraska’s largest indoor field. New state of the art turf field without dasher boards brings the outdoor game inside! Games will be played on Saturdays in the fall. Saturdays and Sundays in the winter. Varsity and JV levels offered. Register per team.
Are you looking for an introductory football experience for the children in your life? Our youth flag football league focuses on the basic elements of flag football, including mechanics, sportsmanship, fun and safety. Children should look back on our program as the solid foundation to their future in recreation. Teams are organized by school and grade. The league costs $65 for the program, with an added $10 for a reversible jersey. These jerseys are used in all of our youth programs.
Players learn skill development and sportsmanship in a fun, safe way! Get a jump start on the summer season. Organized games and practices in indoor facility. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Need to get your traveling softball team ready for summer action? What better way to sharpen skills than to play live games in a state of the art indoor facility. Games are 60 minutes with 30 minutes of pregame practice time available for indoor team practice. (Batting cage time included.) Games will be played on Saturdays. Doubleheaders available upon request.

The FIeldhouse will offer athletic based training designed to help increase quickness, coordination, and balance. Athletes are exposed to drills that are vital to increasing athletic performance regardless of sport background. This is a five-week program (ten classes) that will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings. That class fee is $125/person or you can drop in at a daily cost of $15/person. After seeing the movie “Hunger Games”, do you have an interest in trying the sport of Archery? Come explore archery with the Fieldhouse staff. This class will teach you the basics of archery and help improve your shot through comprehensive instruction and fun games. The class will take place next door at the Game and Parks Archery Range in the State Fair building.
Grand Island Parks and Recreation offers four sessions of this youth archery class, with two time slots in each session. Classes occur from 5:30pm-7:00pm and 7:15pm-8:45pm. Participants must be within the ages of 9-14. Equipment is provided, but personal equipment may be used with instructor approval.
